Go back in time and discover one of the most beautiful fortified cities in France. The 36 metre high KEEP was built by Foulques Nerra, the Comte d’Anjou, at the beginning of the 11th century. As well as being one of the most imposing buildings of its period in Europe, it is also one of the best preserved. The LOGIS royal is nearby. This jewel of the French Renaissance, a special place in the history of France, was the favourite residence of the reigning Valois dynasty. The Logis welcomed Joan of Arc, Agnès Sorel and Anne of Bretagne.
